Crespi Splits Non-League Doubleheader with Palos Verdes

Crespi 10, Palos Verdes 4---Crespi (11-3) rallied for 6 runs in the third inning to put the game away in the first game of a non-league doubleheader at Valley College. John Kearns collected his fourth win against no defeats tossing six innings allowing three runs, seven hits, and striking out four. Alex Gonzalez led Celt hitters with three hits and two RBI while Josh Mason added three hits and an RBI. Kevin Williams added two hits, including a double, and an RBI while Jack Colick added two hits and two RBI. Josh Mason pitched the seventh inning allowing a run and two hits.

Crespi 2, Palos Verdes 8---Palos Verdes returned the favor by scoring six runs in the third inning of the second game to the game out of reach in a game played under the lights at Birmingham HS. Garrett Mason doubled his first time at the plate while George Alvarez singled and scored on Dominique Brown's single. Crespi received strong relief pitching from Madison Dang who worked three innings allowing no runs, three hits and striking out two.
