Sophomore Cody Thompson, tossed a complete game two-hitter to help Alemany gain a split of the two game series in a Mission League game at Birmingham High School. The Warriors drew first blood in the first inning as Sergio Plasencia walked, stole both second and third bases, and scored following a ground out by Anthony Exparza. Crespi evened the score in the third inning as Austin Walker drew a walk. He moved to second after a sacrifice bunt from Alex Gonzalez and advanced to third following a ground out by Ryan Brockett. Walker scored on a triple by Mike Hubbard. Alemany scored three more in the fifth inning as Andrew Davidson doubled and moved to third after a sacrifice bunt from Ryan Alvarez. Mark Strazzeri followed with a walk and both Davidison and Strazzeri scored on a Plasencia double. Plasencia moved to third on a balk and scored on a sacrifice fly from Esparza. Ryan Brockett tossed five innings for the Celts (16-4, 4-2) allowing four runs, two hits, and striking out two. Scott Heineman and Josh Mason tossed scoreless innings of relief.
